HOT TOPIC: RICK ROSS REVEALS HIS SEX PROOF BUSINESS STRATEGY

On the heels of Lifetime’s “The Rap Game,” VH1 has created its own Atlanta-based reality competition music show called “Signed.”

The show, which airs on Wednesday at 8 p.m., features three mentors: rap impresario and part-time Atlantian Rick Ross, Atlanta rap star The-Dream and Lenny Santiago, senior vice president of Jay Z’s Roc Nation label.

In the first episode, most of the action happens at Patchwerks Recording Studios in West Midtown Atlanta, which was originally created by former NFL player and “Real Housewives” participant Bob Whitfield 23 years ago and has recorded music with artists ranging from Mariah Carey and Toni Braxton to Britney Spears and 50 Cent.

During a promotional interview for the show Rick Ross, was asked why he had never signed a woman to his label.

His answer…

“You know,” he gave an explanation of the personnel make-up of Maybach Music Group, “I never did it because I always thought I would end up fucking a female rapper and fucking the business up.”

“I’m so focused on my business,” Rick went on. “I just, I gotta be honest with you. You know, she looking good. I’m spending so much money on her photo shoots. I gotta fuck a couple times.”

So there’s that…

So the team at Chunky Chickz Radio Show decided that we would delve a little bit into Rick Ross’ perspective and discuss this topic as only we can.

So, was Ross being sexist? A lot of women were offended by Ross speaking his truth… Do women really want to hear the truth from men? Does Ross have a right to conduct his business as he sees fit?

FYI Ross has since apologized and all is well, but we still felt the topic needed to be addressed. Please tune in to Chunky Chickz Radio show each and every Sunday at 8:30 pm on sndsradio.com to hear our perspectives!

VIDEO: LLOYD X RICK ROSS “HEAVENLY BODY”

ross-lloyd

I’m happy to report that Lloyd is back to making bangers that we can all appreciate! The 31-year-old dropped his new video for “Heavenly Body” featuring Rick Ross.

When asked about his thought process behind his current studio project he responded by stating…

“It’s very rare that I’ve been a part of something that’s come out that’s as pure and honest as that. I didn’t wanna come back with turn up [music],” he said. “I thought it was important for me to attack it on an honest and truthful level but also from a vulnerable place as a man — because that’s what my nieces made me. That’s what the women in my life made me. For me to abandon that just for record sales or a check, or some quote-unquote “bi***es? That would never suffice.”

Enjoy!

The REAL is Baaaaaack!!!

Its been a hot minute since the Chunky Chickz Radio Show has been on air, lol but we are back! You can tune in to the Chunky Chickz Radio Show each and every Sunday at 8:30 pm on www.sndsradio.com.

We thought it would be a great idea to host our official Radio Show Launch party at Mr. Kream which is owned by Miami’s very own DJ Affect. DJ Affect basically was the mastermind behind Chunky Chickz Radio. Many years ago, he found our flyer on the street on South Beach,  gave us a call and that is where Chunky Chickz Radio got its start. Back then, DJ Affect owned an online radio station called w305.com which was a pretty big deal back then.

In addition to celebrating the return of Chunky Chickz Radio, DJ Affect named an ice cream flavor after us! #ChunkyChickzTwix Yes, you can stop by Mr. Kream any time and get a taste of The Chunky Chickz… It’s soo good!

We had a few notable guests stop by to Congratulate us on our return, as well as a special live interview with Miami Tip ( word on the curb is that she will be featured in the inaugural season of Love & Hip Hop Miami… but you didn’t hear that from me) Shhh!

We are so happy to be back on air! If you’ve been rocking with us from the beginning… Thank You. If you’re just getting familiar… Just be prepared to be entertained!

Here’s a few pics & vids from the event!

INTRODUCING! Don Son

Image

“The first thing people say when you start doing well and you’re confident in whatever it is that you set out to do is that you’re ‘Hollywood’ nah, ‘I Ain’t Hollywood, I’m Southbeach’. Living up to the extraordinary expectations of being the offspring of one of the roughest “rude bwoys” to ever set foot off the island of Jamaica would make some apprehensive; instead emerging rapper Don Son is well on his way to making a name all his own.

“I’m actually the Don’s son. My pops is real big in Jamaica. You can ask any Jamaican and they know about Skeng Don,” explains Don Son.  Son of Jamaican business mogul Skeng Don a man with a reputation so legendary it rings across the Caribbean and South Florida, so well known that even the biggest Bawse, Miami rapper Rick Ross recently mentioned him in a Tweet.

I was always taught “go out and get it” which is exactly what the South Florida rapper plans to do with the release of his upcoming mixtape titled “Spending Habits” the first single “South Beach” .
