Fashion Friday: The Hi or Low Trend | by @VintageBlondie

Hi or Low?

Hello Ladies! It’s me again from (Excuse the name change!) and welcome back to Fashion Fridays! So this summer, I have seen the hi-low trend everywhere. In shirts, dresses and skirts; any place that you choose to shop this summer, will definitely have hi-low items in stock. I love it so much and hopefully by the end of today’s segment you will be in love with it as well. So let’s get started!

So, the first thing I ever fell in love with in this trend is the amazing hi-low tops. Some of them come short, some of them come long, but either way they are so fabulous. The perfect accessories and shoes can transform these tops from casual to dressy instantly. Pair them with a nice pair of shorts or leggings and it creates the absolute perfect summer outfit!

So the next best thing about this trend is the skirts. Whether its sheer, printed, a solid color of polka dots, every woman this season should have a high-low skirt! Now even though the warm weather is leaving soon, it doesn’t hurt to break out this skirt with an awesome pair of wedges before the bright summer sun leaves us. Show those lovely legs some love.

Alright ladies final and last item on our hi-low topic is the hi-low dress. Now ladies, this just may replace your regular LBD( Little Black Dress). It’s sophisticated, its elegant and its definitely something different. The flowy, long frabric drapes your curves and gives it a beautiful, dramatic feel. And im telling you ladies, heads will definitly turn when your wearing one of thease dresses. Trust me, heads def did when I wore mine!

Alright ladies, well that’s enough of me rambling on for today. Please join me next Friday on ChunkyChickzWorld as we uncover and discuss more plus size fashion trends. Be sure to come visit me over at and become my tweetiepie over on twitter at @VintageBlondie. Until next time ladies, Stay Fabulous.

Hello to all the ChunkyChickz out there in ChunkyChickz world!! It’s me, Brielle Janae, coming BACK with another fabulous installment of Fashion Fridays! It’s been soo long since I have come to you and I’m excited to be back! Ok so let’s just pick up right where we left off and jump into spring! Warmer weather is on its way and I couldn’t be more excited! And you of course should be as well divas. When I think of spring I think Easter Sunday, lots of flowers and pastel colors! Springtime means that lighter and brighter colors are seen everywhere, and that includes in your wardrobe. Today’s installment will inspire you to trade in your heavy winter ensemble, into a playful, colorful spring!

Ok so let us begin with a pastel colored dress. It’s a simple classy way to dress up your spring wardrobe. A light pink belt was added to the waist for a simple, but adorable color blocking feel to the dress. Nude accessories were added so that the dress stands out, without any of the accessories over powering the outfit.

Resurrect your winter wardrobe by adding small touches of pastel accessories. So take your Little Black Dress, (or any other dark colored simple dress) and add a bunch of classy pastel accessories. The pastel belt will bring in your shape, add color and dimension to your outfit. The earrings will add sophistication and give an Audrey Hepburn look to your outfit. And the bangles will add some jingle to your arms and let everyone know the bell of the ball has arrived!

So if you can’t find a pastel dress, or any pastel accessories, or if maybe the pastel clothing and such isn’t your thing, still catch some spring fever! Add in your pastel edge with nail polishes and eye shadows. The greatest thing about beauty products is that if there are soo many options! So many colors and different ways to express and find your own look. So don’t be afraid to hit the drug store and find a bold new color to rock on your fingers and toes. And trade out that winter Smokey eye for a pop of spring on your lids.

Ok dolls, so Fashion Friday has come to an end but have no fear! Next Friday I will be back again showing you another trend that you can pull off this spring. Be sure to visit me over at for more fashion and beauty videos. Become one of my tweethearts and follow me on twitter @vintageblondie. Until next time ladies, Happy Spring!

Hello my Darling Divas! I’m here again with another Fashion Friday Segment and today’s fashion lesson is going to be about the ever popular blazer. The blazer comes in different styles, colors and patterns and can be found in a local thrift store or your favorite store. Today I will showcase some lovely blazers that I’ve found and give you some options on how you can rock them this winter.

Black Blazer

The black blazer is a classic way to add a sophisticated flair to your everyday outfit. Since its cold out, pair it with a long sleeved or ¾ sleeve sweater or shirt to keep you warm. A nice solid colored scarf will accent with the black blazer, giving you a warm outfit that you can rock on campus, at work on casual Fridays or a shopping date with the girls.

Colored Blazer

Let’s say you get asked on a hot date or you and the girls get dressed up to paint the town red. A colored blazer can make sure that all eyes are on you and can bring a lovely presence into the room. Here I paired a bright yellow blazer with a simple black LBD (little black dress) and threw some black cable tights in there because it is the wintertime. The loud colored blazer can add some pizazz to your basic LBD and it never hurts to wear a bit of color in a sea of neutral colored outfits. You will stand out and your fabulosity will be the talk of the night!

So ladies try the Blazer in your winter ensemble this season. It can add prep, sophistication to any simple outfit and should be a staple piece in ever woman’s wardrobe. The best spot to find blazers are at thrift stores! They come in so many prints and patterns and they will be one of a kind. Nobody else will be rocking the same unique blazer that you found for a bargain. Be sure to check back next Friday as I share another Fashion Trend for you to try, and don’t forget to check me out on my personal site and follow me on twitter @vintageblondie. Until next time ladies xoxoxo
