JOSELINE SHEDS A TEAR OVER LHHNY DRAMA & TEASES “LOVE AND HIP HOP MIAMI” ROLE

JOSELINE

Joseline is fed up!

She saw her beef with the “Love & Hip Hop” creator Mona Scott Young go from Social Media to the show’s finale.

As seen on the reunion special this past week, Joseline quit the “VH1” series and it seems that the producers made the decision to expose her problematic behavior over the years.

This definitely struck a nerve with Joseline so she decided to stop by “The Breakfast Club to tell her side of the story.

We’ve never really had an opportunity to see a remorseful Joseline, she even shed a few tears of the way that she was depicted on the finale.

Interestingly enough she seems open to the idea of joining the cast of Love and Hip Hop Miami, especially now that she lives in South Florida.

Pretty good interview. In the words of Joseline Hernandez “You know, I’m just a bad bitch! I feel like if muhfuggas gotta click up on me. They just some pussy ass hoes!”

*Shots fired*

AWKWARD BLACK GIRL: OFFICIAL TRAILER FOR INSECURE SEASON TWO

Premiere Of HBO's "Insecure" - Arrivals

I know ya’ll see my girl Issa Rae. Yass… The glow and grow is REAL!

HBO released the official trailer for the second season of the series Insecure. All I can say is here comes the drama. I’m still mad at Lawrence dog ass for the stunt he pulled last season. I’m pretty sure that I will mute the TV when he comes on screen this time around.  Now that Issa is single this season she gets a chance to mingle.

The preview begins with Issa talking to herself in pure Awkward Blackgirl fashion, then it cuts to a series of mini dates which all look pretty painful, after which we get to see her friend/personal therapist Molly step in as usual to help Issa work through her relationship issues.

The clip shows the highs and lows of a black woman in the work place, love and life. So far it looks good… I can’t wait for the premiere! Insecure will premiere on HBO on July 23, but check out the official trailer below…

LOVED IT! #STEPTHEMOVIE A MUST SEE!

step

So,  yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the premiere of a very special movie. Directed by Amanda Lipitz, the movie, featuring Blessin Giraldo, Cori Grainger, Tayla Solomon, Gari McIntyre, and Paula Dofat is more like a documentary which documents the senior year of a girls’ high school step team in inner-city Baltimore, as they try to become the first in their families to attend college. The girls strive to make their dancing a success against the backdrop of social unrest.

The cast was present at the premiere and there was a question and answer session. This is all apart of the American Black Film festival which is being held in Miami June 14 – June 18.

Okay, back to the movie! I must say I left the the Miami Beach Cinematheque inspired, the movie takes you through a gamut of emotions and honestly I saw myself in each of the girls. I could even relate to the each of the Mother’s struggles. I am a single Mother raising children and I’ve been in situations that mirror the women in this movies lives so much so that I left the theater feeling inspired to keep going.

Some how this movie spoke to me and let me know that my struggles as a Woman, Mother, Friend, Daughter & Companion were not just exclusively my own but that we all struggle and though we may struggle our situations are not impossible to overcome.

Go see this movie! STEP will be in theaters August 4, 2017

OPRAH WINFREY TALKS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF ANNIE LEE COOPER IN “SELMA” (VIDEO)

OPRAH

Ava Duvernay really struck gold when she was offered the opportunity to direct the now critically acclaimed film Selma. Although the film has recently been snubbed by the Oscars the self taught director has certainly secured her spot in Hollywood as one of the premiere up and coming Directors of this year.

One of the most pivotal roles in this movie is that of Annie Lee Cooper played by the one and only Oprah Winfrey. Oprah speaks on the importance of the role at a recent press conference at the Mandarin Hotel in New York City.
