A few weeks ago DJ Khaled released the track #TotheMax which set Social Media on fire, there were a few artists in Miami who claimed to the be the originators of the style of music that was sampled on the track. We decided to get the facts!

Yung Gordon & Sam Sneak stopped by the Chunky Chickz Radio Show to discuss #TotheMax among other things…. Check it out!

The REAL is Baaaaaack!!!

Its been a hot minute since the Chunky Chickz Radio Show has been on air, lol but we are back! You can tune in to the Chunky Chickz Radio Show each and every Sunday at 8:30 pm on

We thought it would be a great idea to host our official Radio Show Launch party at Mr. Kream which is owned by Miami’s very own DJ Affect. DJ Affect basically was the mastermind behind Chunky Chickz Radio. Many years ago, he found our flyer on the street on South Beach,  gave us a call and that is where Chunky Chickz Radio got its start. Back then, DJ Affect owned an online radio station called which was a pretty big deal back then.

In addition to celebrating the return of Chunky Chickz Radio, DJ Affect named an ice cream flavor after us! #ChunkyChickzTwix Yes, you can stop by Mr. Kream any time and get a taste of The Chunky Chickz… It’s soo good!

We had a few notable guests stop by to Congratulate us on our return, as well as a special live interview with Miami Tip ( word on the curb is that she will be featured in the inaugural season of Love & Hip Hop Miami… but you didn’t hear that from me) Shhh!

We are so happy to be back on air! If you’ve been rocking with us from the beginning… Thank You. If you’re just getting familiar… Just be prepared to be entertained!

Here’s a few pics & vids from the event!

So,  yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the premiere of a very special movie. Directed by Amanda Lipitz, the movie, featuring Blessin Giraldo, Cori Grainger, Tayla Solomon, Gari McIntyre, and Paula Dofat is more like a documentary which documents the senior year of a girls’ high school step team in inner-city Baltimore, as they try to become the first in their families to attend college. The girls strive to make their dancing a success against the backdrop of social unrest.

The cast was present at the premiere and there was a question and answer session. This is all apart of the American Black Film festival which is being held in Miami June 14 – June 18.

Okay, back to the movie! I must say I left the the Miami Beach Cinematheque inspired, the movie takes you through a gamut of emotions and honestly I saw myself in each of the girls. I could even relate to the each of the Mother’s struggles. I am a single Mother raising children and I’ve been in situations that mirror the women in this movies lives so much so that I left the theater feeling inspired to keep going.

Some how this movie spoke to me and let me know that my struggles as a Woman, Mother, Friend, Daughter & Companion were not just exclusively my own but that we all struggle and though we may struggle our situations are not impossible to overcome.

Go see this movie! STEP will be in theaters August 4, 2017

Check out the trailer…

With the release of her latest album, the properly titled Woman, Jill Scott has taken her show on the road with a 25-city tour. She made her way to Atlanta’s Chastain Park on Aug. 2.

But Scott also took a moment to address her detractors on “Hate On Me.” Following the song, she spoke about haters and said, “You’re so busy being mad that you’re not counting your own blessings.”

Check it out!

Her latest single, “Fool’s Gold,” proves how love can make us all look foolish at times. And “Slowly Surely” was Scott’s way of leaving a bad situation and facing the fear that comes from uncertainty.

Overall, Scott’s show allowed her to prove why she continues to be one of the top soul artists 15 years after her debut. She knows that love is a constant journey and her fans are more than willing to join her for the ride.
